AX6000 IP Protocol 4 (IPIP Encapsulation) Support
I'd like to understand if the AX6000 supports "IP protocol 4" aka "IPIP Encap". Below is the description of what I want to do. This is to enable Amprnet participation (if any of you know what that is).
I have a need to segment my network physically using a Linux gateway (for those that know what Amprnet is, I am running Ampr-RipD 2.4.1) that I have put in the DMZ. The router has a static public IP address. The Linux gateway has two LAN ports. One attached to the 192.168.x.y LAN (this is the one in the DMZ that should get all IP traffic) and the other is assigned an internal 44.56.x.y IP address. The packets for the 44.56.x.y address are encapsulated in the packets for the 192.168.x.y address. If the AX6000 router supports IPIP Encap, what should happen is that the router should "strip" the incoming encapsulated packets and send the 44net packets on as well. Which the gateway will distribute to the appropriate systems on the network. However, this is not happening. So, I am trying to troubleshoot where the problem actually is.
Thanks in advance for your help!
