Hello 

I have folled Hardware installed:

 

1x ER7206 v1.0

2x TL-SG2008P v1.0

1x TL-SG2008 v4.0

1x EAP235-Wall(EU) v1.0

1x EAP670(EU) v1.0

1x Omada Controller Installed on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS

 

 

I would like to configure Multiple VLANs

VLAN 1 Clients --> 192.168.0.1 /23

VLAN 10 Management --> 192.168.10.1/24

VLAN 20 Server --> 192.168.20.1/24

VLAN 30 Smart-Home --> 192.168.30.1/24

VLAN 50 WLAN --> 192.168.50.1/24

VLAN 100 Guest WLAN --> 192.168.100.1/24

 

I have configured this network VLANs on Omada Controller and deployed it. 

Sometimes i get an IP Address sometimes not. 

Port Profiles added to direct access and to Tagging. Booth with the same issue.

 

External DHCP Server does not help. 

Also DHCP and Omada in the same Network bring no solution. 

 

Tagging did not work. (Profiles to Ports with Tagging) 

Please can you help me to fix this issue? 

 

Same Solution on Unifi was working before. So DHCP is still working. 

 

Clean installation. with only Guest Network  (WLAN)  only, starts with the problems.

  @MatschHasi I wouldn't use Omada until they fixed their bugs. Just read the forums... They're not stable

Hello. 

I have also tested the Solution without Omada but in this case i cannot add an external DHCP Server. 

and the local dhcp servers do have the same issue. Not all Devices get an IP Address. 

 

the next is the complexibility to configure all devices separately. 

 

That make no fun,

I use Omada only for my APs. My switches and router are not under Omada since I want to know how they are really configured. Omada adds another layer of abstraction that obstracts the view of their running configuration and unfortunatly it seems to be unrealable as far as the switch/router configuration is concerned.

 

The configuration you want to have is as follows:

 

1. Have each and all SSIDs associated with valid VLAN IDs. 

2. Have the port the AP is connected to a TAGGED member of all involved VLANs. No exceptions. No UNTAGgin.

3. Have a proper trunk link setup between your switch and the router. My prefered way is to have both ports UNTAGGED in the default VLAN, their PVID set to the default VLAN ID and TAGGED in all remaining VLANs. Having those ports TAGGED in all VLANs may work, too. 

 

That's really all that needs to be done in addition to configuring the DHCP server on ER7206. Although I do not use my ER7206 for handling DHCP addresses anymore, I have never had any issues with it when it served as my DHCP server in a multi-VLAN coniguration.
