I would like to know what is the max/recommended height to place the deco x50 outdoor?
I want to cover the garden (20m depth, 12m width) using a single unit. I can place the deco (wired) easily on the 2nd floor at a height of 6-7 meters but I am wondering if this is to high.
Anybody can advise here?
Hi, All installations will vary with the environment. So it's always good to do the pre-and post-installation site survey, measured to your desired data rates, which is always the best advice to determine AP coverage. That will tell you the height where to install it. Normally it is suggested to install the access points no higher than 40 feet ( about 12 meters) to o allow support for wireless clients on the ground in the immediate vicinity of the access point.
So I think 6-7 meters should be fine.
