Abnormal WAN Speed message
Abnormal WAN Speed message
Getting warning message "Abnormal WAN speed " since last firmware upgrade.
x50-Poe connected to FTTH GPON at 1G speed.
It's not affecting performance in anyway. Just about annoying.
anyone else seeing this ?

@Mfusa1 +1 to the request to show actual line speed / duplex info within the config app.

thanks for the message. I have the same issue with the 2.5gb port of the deck connected to the 2.5gb port on a Motorola modem. In addition to fixing the bug, could we maybe have a feature request to show the actual LAN and WAN connection speeds on the Deco? I don't believe those value are visible in the GUI.
Thank you

I am also getting this message. Deco xe75 2.5GbpS port connected directly to 10Gbps port on ISP provided router/modem port forced to 2.5Gbps/Full. ISP provided bandwidth is 1.5Gbps up/down.
They should be negotiating at the exact same speed and duplex now, why am I still getting this warning?

Not very many 10Gbps ports can negotiate 2.5Gbps, they often drop to 1Gbps when they talk to 2.5Gbps port on other side of Ethernet cable. Are you sure your ISP provided router/modem port did indeed negotiate 2.5Gbps? Do you have list of ports and negotiated speeds from router/modem status page that you can make screenshot of and share here?

@Alexandre. Yes indeed, my ethernet port 5 on my isp router is 10Gbps but selectable 10,100,1000,2500,10000 full/half.
I've forced it to 2500 full. Still have the message on deco.

@Mfusa1 Same issue beginning today with no changes to modem, cable, etc

Today is 2024/01/10
I still receive the same notification.
My switch NETGEAR MS510TXM can negotiate 10000 - 5000 - 2500 - 1000 Gbps
X90 plugged into the 2.5Gbps port
The Switch light shows that it is using 2.5Gbps
But the Deco GUI still shows the message.
I switched the X90 to the 1Gbps port and it disappeared

@MarkMol I have a Deco 6E model XE75 that is giving the abnormal WAN port speed message. I am using the original cable that came with the router. Speeds were 370 Mbps consistently and now dropped to 95 Mbps. Was it a firmware update that caused this? When will there be a fix?
