Model: EAP610-Outdoor
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: EAP610-Outdoorv1_1.1.3_[20230330-rel73099]

We are using the US version of a EAP610 outdoor in Canada as a wired AP in combination with multiple wireless EAP225 outdoor Canadian firmware.

Connection was good.

Now the issue:

Updated our controller OC200V1.0 to latest firmware

OC200(UN)_V1_1.24.0 Build 20230328

today, single click from omada controller interface ("update available")

and after completion found all wireless connections to AP were lost (!)

Now have issues to readopt (password not accepted - although I am sure I know it).

An IT expert I consulted explained to me the OC200 firmware update failed because we mixed US and CA versions of devices, which should not be done.

Has anyone had the same issue ?

Our Omada controller shows EAP610 (US) V1.0 while there is only

TP-Link website US : V1.20 / V1.26 / V1.28

TP-Link website CA : V1 / V1.2

Thats another mystery.

Appreciate any advice.

Thx.

  @VillagersON

Is the only thing that changed the fact that you updated your OC200, or post update, did you then update one or more APs?  the only difference between US and Canada versions are the frequencies and power levels that it will put out.  You may just want to force your 610 5.8G radio to a fixed frequency that's known to be valid on both sides of the border--channels 149 through 161 would be a good choice to set it to.

One thing to be very mindful of, especially when going from OC200 v5.7.6 to 5.9.32 is that you need to update any 225-outdoors at 5.0.5 and lower to 5.0.8 or higher to change the management ports, ideally before updating the OC200.  I'm pretty sure the 610 works with the new port out of the box.  Anyways, try that, force upgrade the meshed 225's to the latest version and see if that helps.
