Hello, are you trying to connect a remote L2TP VPN Server on your client devices of the Archer AX50? and what is the error message when you try to connect it?

What applications you are using to connect the L2TP VPN? And what is the error message? Please share with us the screenshots as well.

Besides, are the Archer AX50 and AC5400 using in the same network? is the WAN IP on the Archer AX50 a public IP address?

Please make sure the VPN Passthrough are enabled on the Advanced->NAT Forwarding->ALG page of Archer AX50 and share with us your network topology

Hi, thanks for your respond.

I use AX50 as a client and try to connect via L2TP to my server set on mikrotik routerboard.

All the parameters are set exactly the same as on AX5400

AX5400 connect correctly

AX50 is communicating with mikrotik routerboard, but do not gain the IP.

I use TP-Link Archer XR500v v1 fiber router and I connect both AX5400 or AX50 to that one (of course not at the same time).

Kind regards,

Tomasz

Hi, could you please double confirm where you configured the VPN Client? on the Archer AX50 router web interface or on your client devices such as laptops etc.?

Actually the Archer AX50 V1 doesn't support VPN Client function, but it supports VPN Passthrough, so as long as the VPN Passthrough are all enabled, you should be able to connect the remote VPN Server on your client devices.

If it still doesn't work, please also try to connect the same client device to the Archer XR500v fiber router to see if it is able to connect the same VPN Server successfully.
