X50 Outdoor
X50 Outdoor
Hello.
Ive installed some x50 outdoors for different customers.
the problem ive seen twice is that the x50 reports offline on the app while its still working and it is green light in reality.
the combination in both instances is a M5 with version 1.6.5 as a base connected to another M5 with powerline and other M5's connected wirelessly to the base and the X50 outdoor also wirelessly to the base.
the brand of the powerline is dlink(i know about the dlink switxhes)
the problem it is that works flawlessly for some days then suddenly it reports offline usually for about 24-48Hrs then starts to report back online.
rebooting from distance the Bases dosnt help, only solution to reboot the x50 by unplugging it.

Deco X50-Outdoor_V1
Phenomenon Description:
Some users might find Deco X50-Outdoor works flawlessly for some days, then suddenly report offline on the APP while it's still working and it is a green light in reality. Usually, a manual restart of Deco X50-Outdoor could make it online on the Deco APP.
Solution:
The Official firmware 1.2.3 and above has fixed this issue already. Please make sure your firmware is up-to-date.

@akapal Hello. I'm having the same issue with my Outdoor X50. It works fine when used via Wifi, but when I connected it via ethernet, it works wonderfully for 12 to 48 hours, then drops offline. Mine is plugged in, no POE. Sometimes the green light stays on, but the app says offline and there are no devices connected to it via wifi. I have 4 other Deco devices wired the same way and they all work fine, it is just my Outdoor X50 that drops offline. The error message says that "We couldn't find the Deco." I can remove it and add it back in and it will work great for that 12 to 48 hours, then drops. Updated firmware, rebooted the entire system, tried a different ethernet cable, ports, etc. Still repeats the error.
Thanks,
Jeremy

@JeremyJamesX hello
it seems the update 1.2.1 is much better.
if your app doesn't show this update you can manually download it via TP-Link website and update through chrome web browser

@akapal Hello. My app says my version is 1.2.2. I removed my X50 again last night, added it back in and it worked great for the afternoon, but I checked this morning and it went offline again. According to messages in this thread, it is a known issue. Any resolution in the works?

@JeremyJamesX it was an issue with 1.0.1
maybe you have the outdoor behind a managed switch and happens to use guest on your wifi? because in this configuration it can happen...

@akapal Hello. The X50 Outdoor is hard-wired via Ethernet and plugged in to an outlet, so no wifi or POE. All I have 4 other Deco X75 Pros plugged into the same switch, with 1 of those 4 as the main Deco. Those 4 haved worked great for months, so it is only this X50 Outdoor that is having these issues. Any advice?
