 Hello Support,

 

I had purchased my router before 1 year ago and i had replaced it and thought that there is an issue with router.  But still same issue.

 

Issue are as under.

 

I am using Tikona broadband 40 MBPS plan with dynamic ip, where if i connect lan cable directly to my pc and check speed then it works fine.  I have also one old model of tplink router, which is also working fine if i use it, but if i use this C80 then i get less than 1 mpbs in download and upload speed.  Just remind that it was working fine before few days ago. Suddenly it is not working and very slow in both wired and wireless connection evenif i got new C80 router.

 

It show all led light with green and there is no issue there.

Hi, thank you very much for posting on TP-Link Community.

1. The previous C80 was working fine before and just dropped to less than 1Mbps a few days ago, and the new Archer C80 has the same issue since the first time installation, right?

2. What is the model no. and hardware version of your old TP-Link router? and is it still reaching near 40Mbps?

3. For the Archer C80, please try to download and update the latest firmware to see if it resolves the problem:

My old router is Archer C20.   My new router was Tplink C80(US) Ver:1  which was working fine for 1 year. But before few days i found download /upload issue and so i replaced it with new one because it was under warranty. Now i get Tplink C80(US) Ver. 2.20.   But there was same issue of download/upload.  There was already new firmware and so when issue was not resolved, then i tried to downgrade firmware because sometimes new firmware includes some bug and so. but still it is not working and have same issue.   I am able to get 40mbps in old router Archer C20.

 

i tried to change negotiation speed option too, but nothing happen. Just remind that i found issue in both wired and wireless.  So first i need to resolve issue in wired network.

i have again updated with the latest firmware.

 

Firmware Version:

1.12.10 Build 230208 Rel.38553n(5553)

 

Hardware Version: Archer C80 2.20

 

I face still same issue. Please check the system log

Also just remind that only approx 6 device are used with wireless. But i had also tried to disable wifi and checked with wired network only with router, but still there is same issue.

I doubt that 100% issue is in the firmware.....i can see lots of message as under in the system log.

can i get beta version or development firmware file? Might be it can resolve issue ?

  @Atul2 hi, the support team of tp link is awful, did you ever got your expected feedback from them?

How did you downgrade your firmware? I can't downgrade mine ever since i installed their pre released firmware, i even tried doing a factory reset default

  @sajinala 

I just downloaded firmware from tplink website and upload file and it was working for me.

 

There was a good support from tplink but my problem was not resolved. We couldnot find the exact reason.  But i am not able to hold my internet issue and so i changed my ISP. and then i used by router as secondary. Because it was not working as master router. So now it is working fine. Now i use fiber network and so in this way it is also not possible to use it as master router.
