Hello,

 

My router's system log keep having this kind of system log everyday.

Anyone know what is these?

 

My router doesn't not connect to any wired devices. All my devices are connected thru wifi connection.

What is the meaning of WAN0 AND WAN1?  I only connect to 1 WAN using the WAN port on the router to my ISP modem thru a Cat 5e LAN cable,

Why the system log will have WAN0 and WAN1 and why it is keep turning on and off frequently?

Hi,those logs are about LED status, LAN OFF means LAN LED is off, which is correct since you have no wired client devices connected; WAN0 and WAN1 doesn't mean two WAN ports, actually WAN0 means red LED and WAN1 means green LED.

Do you notice any unstable internet issue and Internet LED turns red?

The reason why I asked this question is because my mobile devices were suffering from internet disconnection occationaly.

I went to check the system log of my router and found that everyday have this kind of system log randomly.

Sometime 3-4time a day.

I have asked the TP Link technical support the same question but they didn't told me the meaning of WAN0 and WAN1 like you do.

this is really very helpful information.

They just told me this is a fluctuation of the internet signal......

 

Now TP link have  replaced a new router for me because it is still under warranty and I also asked my ISP to replace a new modem today.

I am waiting to see if the internet disconnection problem still persist in the coming few days.

Hello,

 

My router log 2 incidents this morning at 06:15 and 07:43.

From the LED controller Info,  does it mean that my internet connection is dropped 2 times this morning.

1 at 06:15:25am and 1 at 07:43:34am.

If my understanding is correct?

Since these 2 incidents happened while I still in bed, I don't know if the physical LED light on the router turned red or not.

Yes, based on the logs, the internet LED turns red and then back to green in a few seconds, since it recovers very quickly, maybe it is difficult to feel the internet disconnection even in the daytime.

Is there any suggestion or solution to this problem?

I read thru many posts in the forum and it seems that this is a very very common problem of TP Link routers.

 

I have replaced a new AX73 router about a month ago and my ISP also replace a new modem for me yesterday.

I really don't know what is the cause of this problem.

Do you have any suggestion?

Hi,

Logged another 2 incidents in the last 24 hour. 

I found that every time the duration is about 15 second.

Online duration is continues, that means no WAN disconnection.

If there is no WAN disconnection, why the LED controller turn OFF and ON?

What's your internet connection type in the Internet tab ? 'Dynamic IP' or 'PPPoE' ?

Whatever is it you could test the following:

 

 

And check if these log messages persist. This will exclude your ISP's DNS issues.

Now I am observing the connection stability in the coming 48 hour. If the disconnection persist,

I will try to change the DNS you suggested but before I do that, could you pls explaining more about the setting.

Could you pls explain a little bit more because I am not technical people?

 

Now my DNS setting is "Get dynamically from ISP"

MTU size : 1500 bytes

Host name: ArcherAX73

 

If I change the DNS setting to 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 as you suggested, do I need to change the MTU size or just leave it 1500 bytes?

If these logs are gone don't do anything - your connection is stable.

If these logs re-appear again, try only what I have posted - change only DNSs.

If these logs are still present revert DNS change back to the original setting and change the ethernet cable between the ISP modem and AX73 - then observe logs again.

These are the only things you could do if you already have changed the ISP modem and AX73.

If you don't have any service interruptions don't bother with these log messages as @Sunshine posted.

I will try what you suggest and will post the observation few days later.

 

FYI, I have changed the ethernet cable together with the modem change few days ago. Both old and new cable are Cat 5e.
