Hi,

I changed the password of the admin account and saved it. After this, I logged out and logged in again to make sure that I can log in with the new password to the admin account. It worked successfully.

I unplugged the power of the switch and logged in after the switch was up again, but for some reason, I could only log in to the admin account using the original password.

How can I use the new password to log in after the switch is turned off?

Thanks in advance.

Hi @AVAM_NO

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

Did you click the Save button?

If you did not, then it does not save your config after a power loss. When you click Save, it save to the flash. If you did not, it's "Apply" to the DRAM and will be lost after the power cycle.

Update:

Q: Why do we have such a config like this requiring you to click "Save"?

A: In case someone changed certain settings and blocks himself from accessing the switch from the ETH ports, while he may have a hard time using the console to reset, he can simply reboot the switch and recover the default settings.
