i have an Tp link Archer C80 and I was wondering if it's possible to use it on my garage where I connect it to a switch and distribute internet to all devices connected to the switch.
I tried to use the AP mode and Router mode, but to distribute internet I need the cable from the modem connected on the wan port.
any advice, thanks upf
Hi, currently is there internet access from the switch in the garage? If so, the C80 router could connect to the switch by Ethernet cable and work as AP mode.
However, if there is no internet access from the switch now, I guess you are trying to use the C80 to connect wirelessly to your main router to receive internet access and then provide internet access to the switch or other client devices in the garage. You could follow this guide to use WDS function to extend the wireless network of main router:

By the way, is your main router at home also a TP-Link router? If so, what is the model no.? or does it support EasyMesh?

thank you for the reply.
in the garage there is no internet access, nevertheless i followed the WDS link, and it's working, the only thing i need to fix is the speed, i have a Google mesh with 400mbps but i only got 85 in the tpLink.
The distance from the nearest mesh point its like 10 meters but i have some trees in between, maybe that its influencing the speed.
