Get inform address adopted device

Hello all

Situation: we have a software controller on a server that is managing omada networks for some of our smaller customers.
Most AP's, switches and routers are adopted using our FQDN, but I can not rule out some of them use our WAN ip when they were adopted.

Problem: soon we move to a different building and will get a different WAN ip.

Question: is there a way to find out which inform address a device is using?
Note: not every device supports ssh.

Thanks

/edit:  We have:
ER605
TL-SG2824p
EAP225

There is no way to se what you want. but controller migration will change on all device. so that should work

  @Virgo , @MR.S

That's weird.  I posted reply yesterday, but it wasn't saved.

The plan was to move the server to the new building IF every customer device was adopted using FQDN instead of wan IP.

Instead I opted for migration. As mentioned by @MR.S each device will receive the new inform address.

I did a site migration, migrated site 1 at a time.

Every site is now running on the new server.

Turned out I didn't need to worry at all.

Even though my initial question isn't actually answered, the migration option is the better solution to my question.

Thanks for the help smiley

My cloud controller has the inform URL like "omada://aps1-omada-device.tplinkcloud.com?dPort=29810&mPort=443&omadacId=XXXXXXX", you can refer to this similar format to complete yours, replacing the controller ID.

  @Virgo Hello

Thank for replying.

I used the devices onboard webpage to adopt it, pointing to either the FQDN our self-hosted server is using, or it's wan ip address.

Since the onboard webpage is disabled after adopting, I can no longer enter a different FQDN or ip.

It was never needed to enter a port number.

The problem still remains that I need to check which devices are adopted uning ip address.

I can ssh into some of the ER605's using another (non-omada) device, but I need to know the command to get the inform address.

I will install a new server at the new location and perform a controller migration, but I like to know before hand which devices might experience problems.

Factory resetting/forgetting and readopting devices is not an option considering some of our customers are more than a few hours travel away.

  @Virgo Still apreciate you trying to help me smiley

The adopt screen in the local web of a non-managed EAP225 looks like this:

Here either the wan ip address or fqdn of the remote server was entered.
I only need to check on each device which address (wan or fqdn) was enter when they were adopted.

If it was the fqdn, then I have nothing to worry about.
If it was the wan ip however.....

Related question:

When doing a controller migration, there is a field for the new controller address.
Does anyone know if the new ip/fqdn is pushed to the managed devices?
If so it will save me a large headache.

  @MR.S

Sounds promising.

I'm going to migrate the controller during this week

Thanks
