TP-Link Archer C6(EU) v4 slow internet speed after windows 10 clean install.
Hi, I have recently bought this Archer C6(EU) a week ago and it was running on old setup of windows 10. My internet connection speed exceeds 500 Mbps (down), 500 Mbps(up). In order to gain that speed I had to make changes to my network drivers to default and then disabling and re-enabling the ethernet adapter every time I booted my pc(because without those changes the speed stays at 16 Mbps(down)). Later for some security reasons, I had to clean setup my windows 10 and none of the above techniques solved the problem. Now I always stick around 16 Mbps(download) after the windows setup. All my hardware drivers are up-to-date. If I connect the WAN wire directly to my pc using dial-up,I get my real package speed 500+Mbps. Note that I also tried using my old router (Xiaomi 4A_ 100Mbps edition) without changing any driver softwares and I was getting 96Mbps on that router. The low speed persists when I go back to connecting Archer C6 to my pc. Wifi speed is fine btw.

Hey I really appreciate for your fast response while I was hopeless. I recently bought a genuine Windows 10 product and installed it and the problem is totally gone. When I said about clean installing the windows 10,it was from a distributor by a windows modder group (Revision OS) who claim that their windows yields better performance on games. So I fell for it. Now after I bought this genuine copy of windows from Microsoft, I compared the Network adapter with Revision OS network adapter. I was actually dumbfounded by the fact that Revision OS automatically installed a dubious version network adapter from their database and even naming that 'Intel Corporation'. Now I've tested restaring my pc and the internet speed several times with my router LAN and speed is now at stable 520 Mbps. I'm never installing modded windows again. And Thank you again, Sunshine for forwarding this issue to the engineers. Please cancel the ticket.

Hi, thank you very much for posting on TP-Link Community.
1. What is the model no. of the Ethernet network adapter on your PC?
2. Please check the wired link speed on the PC when it connects to LAN port of the Archer C6 router: How to check the associated/link speed on a wired client
3. Except for this PC, is there any other wired device? If so, do they have the same low speed issue via wired connection?
4. You mentioned that the WiFi speed is fine, may I know if WiFi speed could be close to 500Mbps?

1. My Ethernet network adapter is :
Intel® Ethernet Connection (7) I219-V
2. This is the link speed :

3. No, they are no other wired device other than my pc.
4. The speedtest on 5GHz wifi band is around 465-470 Mbps.
But,today I've noticed something interesting. When I bought Archer C6, I updated the firmware to the latest version ( 1.13.1 Build 230609 Rel.31746n(5553) ). It is before the clean install of windows. And I only had to disable and re-enable the network adapter after every boot in order to gain full speed on LAN while being connected to Archer C6. But after the clean install of windows, disabling and re-enabling the adapter doesn't work anymore. But just some hour ago, I downgraded the firmware to ( 1.13.0 Build 230516 ) and re-upgraded it to the latest one (1.13.1 Build 230609). This enabled me to gain full speed on LAN connected to Archer C6. But again I started to lose speed when disabled my network adapter and enable it again. Now I really don't understand if it is a problem with firmware calibration with my network driver or what.

I think I found a solution but this will be extremely tiresome and frustrating because what I've just discovered is :
(1). I have to downgrade the firmware of Archer C6 to ( 1.13.0 Build 230516 ) and then restart my pc.
(2). After that I have to re-upgrade my firmware to the latest version ( 1.13.1 Build 230609 ) in order to gain full bandwidth of my internet connection while connected to Archer C6.
Note that I have not done any update to my pc's software, not even my network adapters.
