Model: Archer AXE75
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.1.8 Build 20230718 rel.47014(4555)

A new unit from Amazon 24 Oct 2023. Installed then firmware updated as requested by the unit.

Issues

1. DHCP Server. Set up with a range that exactly equals the number of IPs needed = 26.. Each IP reserved to an individual device MAC.

1a. Clients reported by Network > Clients do not agree with Advanced > Network > DHCP Server > DHCP Client List. The result is random.

1b. IP of Clients reported by Network > Clients shows that DHCP Server is allocating IPs to clients which do not agree with the DHCP reservations. The DHCP server is incorrectly allocating IPs, have checked by logging onto clients.

2. Access Control does not always initialise correctly resulting in loss of WiFi connection, wired seems OK. e,g, Loss of power, reconnect power = clients not able to authenticate on WiFi. Reboot = no change. Set Access control to OFF wait 10 secs, set Access Control to ON = WiFi OK, clients can now  authenticate.

3. IP & MAC Binding not working at all. Setting to Off then ON makes no difference. Reboot makes no difference.

3a. All sliders remain greyed out. Move slider to right, cursor changes to red "not allowed" sign slider goes to right but stays greyed out, Popup says "Operation Successful"

3b. Adding not connected clients to the Binding List results in the client added to the list but the pop up says "Operation Failed". At a later time the entry disappears.

Notes,

1. This router replaces a DIR655 using exactly the same config. DIR has worked OK for 15 years

2. During firmware update there were several "Operation Failed" popups.

UPDATE

Seems the first issue with DHCP allocating the wrong IP was simply a couple of cameras that were stuck with an old IP address. Rebooting them fixed this. However worrying that there was no alert about the conflict and nothing in the syslog. The other issues still exist and very little in the syslog to help.

  @Yeti42

Hi, thanks a lot for the feedback.

1. Glad to hear that the DHCP issue has been resolved after you restarting the cameras.

2. Are you using blacklist or whitelist for the access control? when the issue happens, all the wireless clients are unable to join the network with error message authentication failed etc., right?

3. Could you please share with us some screenshots about the IP&MAC Binding to show the problem?
