Question, if I use only 1 pc. Deco M5 and put it far from the main modem, will the main modem's signal still work on its near devices or the signal will be dead and transferred to the Deco M5? Thank you in advance! 
If you have single M5, it will behave just like any other standard WiFi router, broadcasting its own independent WiFi network. Your modem will still provide WiFi to devices nearby, your M5 will provide its WiFi to devices near it, but in that setup you will lose all benefits of WiFi mesh.
