Archer AX10 DDNS and IPv6
Hi,
I am interested in this router https://www.tp-link.com/in/home-networking/wifi-router/archer-ax10/
Archer AX10 by TPLink.
While I understand that it offers DDNS service by no-ip dot com, I was wondering if this router is also capable of updating IPv6 on DDNS no-ip dot com, apart from Ipv4.
No-ip dot com does offer IPv6 DDNS as well if I am correct.
Thanks and regards
Ramki

Hi, unfortunately, I just consulted with our senior engineer and confirmed that our home routers don't support the No-IP DDNS on IPv6 either.

AX10 is capable of doing that. To use the IPv6 DDNS service, you must have a Static or Dynamic IPv6 Global Unicast Address (GUA) configured in your router WAN interface. Otherwise, your router will not be able to update the IPv6 DDNS record. Also, you need to have IPv6 connectivity from your laptop to reach your router IPv6 address hostname.
Just in case, a double check won't hurt and it's a good idea if @Sunshine can confirm this statement.

That was quick response. Thank you so much! Glad to know that AX10 supports DDNS on Ipv6.
Yes my ISP offers me dual stack IPv4 as well as IPv6. Recently they shifted IPv4 to cgnat.
My router does get IPv6 GUA.
The current router provided by ISP supports noip com but only on IPv4.
It does not update IPv6.
Best regards.
