Model: Archer C7
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 3.14.3 Build 150427 Rel.36706n

Hi all,

I noticed since a power outtage that my Archer C7 is acting weird. Every few minutes my connection seems to drop for a few seconds. When I do a ping to my router (AC7) I notice that the pings are not responding, on multiple devices at the same time.

I think i found a good clue to what is the issue at the moment: during a connection loss there is a lot of DHCP traffic in the device log:

This is just a small portion of the logs during a short outtage. It seems to me like devices ending with mac adress 1C and F8 are having trouble getting an IP adress assigned. All other devices seem to work really well.

Has anyone experienced this issue before or do you know what things i can try?

Thank you a lot,

Someone in need of some network help :(

Hi, you mean only two of your client devices are having the unstable connection issue, and they are unable to obtain valid IP address at that moment but recover quickly in a few seconds, right?

You may try configuring static IP address on the affected client devices to see if it solves the issue: How to configure static IP on the computer

I don't know if the connections are all being dropped due to the DHCP problem or that the DHCP shows a problem due to the router crashing somewhere.
