I just recently bought X50-4G router.
It seems the firmware is quite old compared to what I see for X50 and X50-Outdoor.
Is this router active part of the X50 portfolio or EOLish, should I work towards returning the unit to shop and buy another model that is maintained?
I wish to use the VPN that seems to be in general X50 line.

@rantsa return it. I own one and has been complaining, requesting for the firmware to be updated up-to-date with what X50 and the rest are getting in terms of features but they just ignored.
Don't buy TP-Link. The features you get are not similar across board. Only a few models get prioritised while the rest will get ignored. You can search for more in this forum for those comments. Keywords: firmware updare, X50-4G
