Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.2

Team,

I have a customer with 5 public IP addresses; all within the same subnet (i.e. /29 - 255.255.255.248).

Lets assume these adresses are 90.70.50.202-206.

I would to use 3 of these on a ER605 without any load balancing or backup.

These three are 90.70.50.202-204. The default gateway is 90.70.50.201.

Is this supported? Assuming yes: how do I set this up?

With warm regards - Will

  @ITV

On er 707-M2 it is on internett settings and advanced and then ip alias

the only problen is that when I do a port nat i cant use port that alredy used in primary ip address. i have to use DMZ to get it to work if port alrady used on a another ip.

@Clive_A  is there somthing I do wrong or what?

this is message when try to add a port nat, and this port is not in use on my secondary ip, if I use dmz everything work but then i have to use acl to first block all and then open port i want to use

and I prefer to use port nat because that way I could nat to different devices on the lan, dmz locks to only one device on lan

  @MR.S

Thank you for your quick response.

Are you sure about this?

The device has the option for using 3 WAN ports - each with their own IP addresses.

I'm expecting something in that direction - most likely combined with application optimized routing.

Meaning return packets are sent on the same port as the originals.

What do you mean with the phrase about DMZ?

However - we will see...

  @ITV

I mention I use ER707-M2 and im not sure about ER605, But my guess is that this is on this router to.

and I use secondaty ip one same wan port as my other ip, if you want to use different wan port for every ip you can problably configure that and use policy route to route client to different wan port, but i dont understand the point with that.

then you will need a switch on wan and connect every configured wan port to the switch included ISP router  and everything should work i guess.

And what i meen with dmz is that this was the only option to nat in to lan when port alredy used on another nat with same port is used on another wan ip.

Update (see below): added this image to the initial post.

The question is the same: is this supported? And what are the settings?

  @ITV The ER605 doesnt support a 'public routed subnet' as such. I think you will need to use One-to-One NAT to map the public IPs to specific devices on the LAN

  @MisterW

Thank you for the hint.

Would it work if there is a single ER605 for each ip in this routed public subnet?

Meaning in total 6 ER605 routers where the first WAN-port of each router has one of these IP's?

Cheers - Will
