Hi,

I really need dyndns custom update by update url, so NO username and NO password are needed, but omada controller is only working with username and password and so this is not going to work. :(

Thats not what i call custom...

Hope to see this fixed!

Thanks

Do you know any DNS server that supports no username/password to login/update? All DynDNS I used need the account login and authenticate, what are you using?

what you call custom... cringe.

basically every router I use requires a username and password to auth and get updated. you might wanna create your own ddns server and without any proper auth..

hi, thanks for the answers..
yes i know them, beside i have my own recursive dns resolving on a vps server, i use a freedns (afraid) as well.
they are both updated by url only..
example: https://freedns [dot] com /dynamic/update.php?Zwa**rep09ac5 is only used to update the ip.

If i use this "direct" url, omada keeps asking me for username and password wich i do not need.
same story goes for my own dyn.dns server wich is also updated by opening an url. (http://mydyndns.myserver [dot] nl)

i'm using my linux home servers for now, but it would be better to do it from the omada controller.
my other unifi controller can do this as well.

  @Barry1980

you mean

https://freedns [dot] com /dynamic/update.php?Zwa**rep09ac5

to change a format into this? it should work as well. i think you workaround by this?

https://freedns [dot] com/dynamic/[DOMAIN]?[USERNAME][PASSWORD]
