Homeshield parent control resets when restarting router
I have a homeshield subscription so I can control my kids online time. Now they found out that they only need to restart the router in order to reset the time limit. How is that even possiple?
Is there any way to fix this or is my subscription waste of money?

Hi, upon checking with senior engineer, the used time indeed will refresh after the router reboots, if it is not possible to let the kids not reboot the router, it is recommended to use bedtime and offtime to schedule times when your kids cannot surf the internet

Hi, please share with us screenshots of the time limits before and also after the router reboots to double check if the allowed time gets really reset.
Besides, please also check the router system time settings to ensure the system time is always correct.

As you can see I have 2 hours limit and it's been used at 12 pm but it only say that 27 min is used. Came home from work now and obviously my son have restarted the router.

Regarding the issue I must say that it really sucks if I may say so. I can't believe that a parental control, specially a paid subscription is that easy to "hack".
With that Sai I really don't see the use/benefit of it. It doesn't meet my expectations so I have to look for something else basically.
I would like to cancel my subscription and get a refund (payed yearly fee 28 Dec), but I guess that it's not that easy, if possible at all.
Disappointed obviously but I take my hat of for your service 🎩🤠
