I want to know if I can disable the 5ghz wifi and just use the 2.4ghz?

Thanks in advance!

Yes - you can. Here is configuration page from Deco app where you can configure which WiFi bands Deco will broadcast at:

In this screeshot, user decided to disable 2.4GHz and leave 5GHz only, and as you can see you can disable 5GHz and leave 2.4GHz only.

Note that when disabling 5GHz, both WiFi5 and WiFi6 will be turned off.

Also, Deco units comunicate with each other over WiFi backhaul. Even if you turn off 5GHz broadcasting for clients, Deco units will keep using 5GHz to communicate with each other. If your intention is not to have 5GHz signal at your place, Deco mesh will not be the right choice for you.
