I need a mesh system for my 3-story house. I just need stability and wide coverage. Should I use 2 Archer C86 routers with EasyMesh or use the Deco E4 3-pack. Please give me advice. Thank you!

For a 3-storey house I would choose Deco M4 instead.

Checking this comparison you could see that M4 ethernet connectivity is 2x gigabit ports.

On the other side Archer C86 is also a good candidate which supports Easymesh with ethernet backhaul, 3x3 MIMO - 600mbps on 2.4 GHz band and 1300mbps on 5GHz band.

In this scenario you could buy a 3-rd one if necessary to expand your wireless coverage further.

I would go for Archer C86 TBH. Deco M4 3-pack would cover about 372 m2. Of course you can buy a single Deco M4 to extend your wireless coverage further.

On the other hand if you'll use the mesh network over a wireless backhaul, Archer C86 would give you better bandwidth and more granular settings control.

With 170 m2 floor you'll have to place each device around the center of the floor to have an optimal coverage - details.

@terziyski Thank you for the advice. The 3 floors of my house have an area of 170m2 each, total 3 floors are ~500m2. I just need a wifi signal that can cover the entire area, prioritizing wide coverage over speed. Should I use the option of 3 C86 routers, or 3 deco M4. Which one gives wider coverage? I have quite a headache because of this.

I will choose C86. I will also install the router location according to the instructions in your link. Thank you for your helpful answer. That helps me a lot.
