SIP ALG
SIP ALG
Hi! I just bought this new TP-link router because the option to turn off the SIP ALG on my ISP router is not working. After disabling it on TP-Link router, i tried rebooting the router and then run a test for SIP ALG and it's still getting detected. Can anyone help? Thank you in advance!

Can you confirm how did you test the SIP ALG is still enabled on the router after you've disabled it ?
Describe your network topology.

@terziyski Hi! I did use the sip alg test from RingLogix.
The results are:
SIP UDP ALG TEST RESULT: TRUE
SIP TCP ALG TEST RESULT: FALSE
And i was told that it should be both FALSE for it to work.
I also want to add that i use this Archer router as a 2nd router since i cannot turn off the SIP ALG from my ISP'a router.

So your topology is: ISP router=>AX12=>your PC - Is that correct ?
If you connect only AX12 wihoout using your ISP router - can you do the same test.
This web based test seems to be easy to execute - mcstest.visualware<dot>com/myspeed/myvoiph5_g711_sipalg<dot>html
Apart from that are you experiancing any issues that you want to disable SIP ALG ?

@terziyski Hi! Yes that's correct.
"If you connect only AX12 wihoout using your ISP router - can you do the same test."
--- That's what im trying to figure out. I don't know how to do it that's why i use AX12 as a second modem. Are you able to show me steps on how?
"Apart from that are you experiancing any issues that you want to disable SIP ALG ?"
--- None. just want to disable SIP ALG because i need it for my work.

What's your ISP internet connection type ? (Dynamic IP, PPPoE, etc.)
You can configure the same on your AX12 to replace your ISP router.
Unless it's of type that AX12 doesn't support you should be able to swap the devices.
