Hi

I successfully installed my AX20.  During the installation I did not see anywhere to enter my tp-link cloud ID and password like I did with my AX12, EAP, RE500x, VX1800v.

Neither in the Tether app or in the router's web page do I see anywhere to add this info after setup.

Does anyone know how to do it?

(there is so much inconsistency between the TP-link product interfaces, there is a serious need for some unification across devices)

thanks

  @Dunk-c

Temporarily changing back to Router mode, entering the cloud info, switching back to AP mode resolved the problem.  What a rigmarole!  I guess the engineers must have a reason for making this so difficult.

I think my other routers started up by default in Router mode and then I changed them to AP mode and didn't experience this problem.

thanks 🙏

thanks but I see different options in my Safari browser in Australia.  Maybe there are different interfaces depending on location? There is nothing under SYSTEM either

Missing Advanced menu is usually a sign that you're using the router in AP mode. Is that the case ?

If that's the case you should know that some features are not available when the device is in AP mode - details.

  @terziyski

yes in AP mode but so are the other three routers in the house and they are all cloud devices.  Could the AX20 really be designed to be different?

Might it be possible to temporarily change the mode, activate the cloud binding, and change back to AP and retain the cloud access?

Probably AX20 v3 is with a different WebGUI. Try the following:

Switch to route mode, setup TP-Link ID and then switch back to AP mode - then test.

Some of the features configured in router mode stay active after switching to AP mode - check the FAQ I posted.

All TP-Link routers start by default in router mode. You probably switched to AP mode before setting up TP-LInk ID on this one.
