To TP-LINK comunity,

Since I boought this rooter (TL-WR1043ND) I have been having WIFI speed problems. The real speed of my net tested directly onto my laptop is 50mbps. When I plug a cable into the modem, I hit 50 mbps. However, my wifi connection was 10 mbps. I did all the firmware updates and got it up to 18mbps. Can anyone tell me what else can it be done to reach the full speed, or atleast 90%.

Thanks in advance

Hi Skylock,

Wifi tuning is heavily dependent on your physical context and it's difficult to provide a simple answer. Eventually you can start reading the FAQ bellow:

[FAQ ID: 468]How to improve my wireless speed or range?

If your Network Adapter is an Intel® PRO/Wireless 2915ABG or Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Connection then please refer to link :

[FAQ ID: 23]How to solve the problem that the Intel PRO 2200BG wireless adapter intermittently disconnects to the TP-LINK wireless router?
