I have a set of 3 Deco M5 and am using the one as my router. I would like to get a separate router so that I have more lan out ports, but I don't want a router that would mess with the mesh set up I have. Any recommendations of the right type of router I should get?
If you just need more Ethernet ports, why won't you get TP-Link 5- or 8-port unmanaged gigabit switch and connect it to second Ethernet port (LAN port) of Main Deco M5?
This will keep your current Deco mesh configuration, expand number of Ethernet ports for Main Deco to as many as you need, also (most likely) for less.
