Model: Archer C6
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 1.13.2 Build 230824 Rel.75032n(4555)

I just bought an ARCHER C6 to use as a signal extender since my PC is far from main router. I've set up 5 GHz WDS to connect to my wifi.

Everything looks fine, i can acess internet, BUT...

As soon as i started using it i noticed some sites load, some sites don't. For example i could search anything on google or open gmail, but i couldn't open oakla speed test, reddit, etc. I could open any of those sites on my house wifi, but not throught tp-link connection.

I writting this post in case this helps someone with the same configuration. For me, the trick was to disable DHCP Server. Once disabled and reconnected everything works fine.

If i turn DHCP server again, same problem comes. I don't really get it, if there is a problem, it shouldn't connect to any site, not just work for some.

Anyway, hope this helps someone ;)

Thanks for sharing this.

This is the guide for configuring WDS on Archer C6. If you don't disable its DHCP server a mess could happen in your local network.

Disabling DHCP server is done so only one DHCP server should be active - this one in your main router.

If this was helpful click once on the arrow pointing upward. If this solves your issue, click once the star to mark it as a "Recommended Solution".
