Archer C50 wireless connection slows down - until rebooted. Then it's raging fast again

Model: Archer C50
Hardware Version: V4
Firmware Version: 0.9.1 0.2 v0093.0 Build 200608 Rel.66307n(4555)

I have an Archer C50 acting as a Range Extender.

The speed on both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz slows down dramatically when the router has been on for a while (hours). If rebooted, the speed is back up to the original speed.

Original speed is somewhere around 180 mbps. After it's been on a few hours that's down to 60, then to 30-40. It doesn't go lower than that.

I can set the router to reboot every day at 6am, but it's slowing down appreciably even within a day. Within an hour it has already lost speed.

Ideas? Solutions?

H

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

May I confirm how you connect the router. I failed to find out that this model supports range extender mode from its User Guide. So we need to make sure your network topology first.

Also, if your router is EU version, you may get the latest firmware version to check whether it will help or not: Download for Archer C50 V4
