If you are experiencing issues with your devices not detecting the Wi-Fi network of your TP-Link Archer Router, please follow the troubleshooting steps below:
For 2.4GHz/5GHz network:
1. Open the Tether APP, go to More > Wi-Fi Settings, make sure the 2.4G/5G network is enabled and not hidden.
2. If you are only seeing the 2.4GHz network (TP-Link_XXXX), not 5GHz network (TP-Link_XXXX_5G), please disable the "Smart Connect" feature.
3. Update the driver or system on your wireless client device.
4. Try another Router with your wireless devices for a comparison.
Still having issues? Please contact the local TP-Link support with the results of the above troubleshooting steps and take next confirmation.

Hi @Marvin_S ! Thank you for answering. None of the visible check boxes to hide is checked. So from visual interface it is not hidden. Unless I could access the cli.
2.4 is visible on the configuration of the router. But on devices connecting to it. Unless next to the router. As in almost touching it. It will display either the 2.4 the second 5 . Rarely will the first 5 display.
My device was already on V2 2.1.6 build 20230907.
I tried reupdating. It worked for awhile after factory reset and using wizard to configure.
I also tried down grading to V2 2.1.4 Build 20230111.
Same sequence. Same results.
Upgraded back to the current version. Same sequence same results.
Always working for a bit then stopping.
I am going to try the hard reset button and see if that will give me what I need. Cos I find it hard to believe that the WiFi hardware would have failed. Esp since wired connection works fine right to the internet.
The unit was warrantied a year ago from older hardware to this newer hardware. Same fault after a year.
Thank you.
Regards

Hi, I am afraid that you need to contact retailer or local support to confirm warranty again.
