Hello

On the NAT Port forwarding window in my AX55.
Is is possible to add a filter on source/external IP ? I want to restrict access to only 1 WAN address for security reason and not everyone on the port specified.

Regards,

Jean-Guillaume

For such functionality you'd need a business grade router like these.

Home grade router devices doesn't have this capability.

Hi, thanks for posting question on our community.

Port forwarding on a router is a technique that is used to allow external devices access to services on private networks. This is typically used for gaming, running a web server, or for some peer-to-peer file sharing systems. The port forwarding feature is only available when the router is working in Router Mode.

It is suggested to refer to Case 3 in the article to know about how it works.

Thanks for your quick reply.
I know how port forwarding is working and it's working great in my case but with some limitation.

I was looking at the accessibility of the "iptable" to filter the IP in entrance.
Your interface does not permit to do such filter. Maybe it's a limitation on the AX55 so do you have another router/interface which allow this action ?
