Main router has No internet when Re450 is connected (re450 has internet access)

Hello!
I've installed a RE450 on my main router, the RE450 is located in an other house a about 20m from the router. Problem is that when the RE450 is connected the main router has no internet access. It works as it should when I disconnect it. What could be the issue?

Usually we recommend that you use the range extender and the main router within one building, as the outdoor environment will affect the wireless radio.
Do you mean that once you connect the RE450 to the router, the internet will drop on the router? And after you power off the RE450, the router will work again?
Please also test within the same building(better within one room), and also provide us the model number of your main router.

Yes, exactly. The it's almost feels like the extender steals the access from the main router.
I tried putting the extender in the same house but the same result.
