Model: Deco M4
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I bought this product https://www.amazon.it/dp/B07L44RHC2?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

I need the modem (at home) to transmit wifi to the 3d printer located in the cellar ( Downstairs )

I should have installed the device but maybe I did something wrong, the light is white and it is attached to the modem but I need to detach it from the modem and attach it near the cellar, if you remove ethernet the light turns red and nothing works

can someone help me? thanks

Hi,

The main Deco unit should always be connected to the front router/modem with an Ethernet cable to get internet.

If you want extend the Deco network wirelessly, you can add satellite Deco units and the satellite ones can wirelessly connect to the main Deco and extend WIFI.

if I do something like this, will it work? ethernet cable attached to the modem passes through the wall and arrives in the cellar, I attach deco m4 there (so it stays attached to the modem)

from cellar I activate wi fi that goes to the wi fi antenna of the 3d printer

thanks

Hi,

Yes, that would work. As the main Deco wiredly connects to modem.
