I purchased one Deco AC1200 /E4 thinking I could plug it in upstairs to boost the internet signal. (Without it being plugged into the router) is that possible ?

or do I have to buy another one ?

  @Kimm310

Hi,

The main Deco should always be connected to the router/modem with an Ethernet cable.

If you add satellite Deco units, the satellite ones can connect wirelessly.
