Hello,

 

i've just received this router from ISP. It's an AX1800, model EX220.

I have outside cameras that don't support 5Ghz, only 2.4. I want them to be on the guest network, but it seems that they can't switch automatically between 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz. Is there any option to have the guest network running only on 2.4? So i can configure them properly? I didn't find the option for that in the menu.

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

Common routers can support to set up 2.4GHz guest nework, but EX220 is customized model for some ISPs only, so there are may some different designs. If you may double-check on APP and web UI.

Hello Marvin, as you can see in the picture attached, my router is pretty limited. I've tried to find an option to update the firmware of it, thinking it will solve the problem. I can't configure it through the app. Maybe this also has to do with the fact that this router is provided by my ISP. Do you think I have any others alternatives?

Hi, I am afraid it is designed so. You may contact your ISP for further confirmation.
