Setting up wired network on be550
I have a Xerod 6125n and have given it a fixed IP and connected it to the BE550. From my windows 11 PC I can see the web page of the printer but when I try to print a test page on Raw port 9100. The print job sits in the print queue and windows eventually says the printer is in an error state. If I then look at the printer web page it appears the job was not even submitted. What steps do I need to do to get it working, like opening ports?

You don't have to open any ports on your BE550 since the printer is in your LAN as well as the PC sending the printing request - double check that their LAN IP addresses are in the same subnet.
If everything is normal with your network setup this probably is caused by the printer software (drivers).

@terziyski Just double checked the IP, network mask and gateway. I have downloaded the latest driver from the Xerox site and installed the printer again after deleting the old one. Maybe the printer is too old and has given up...

@ChrisBS I did get it to work on an Asus router but only via USB not the network connection which leads me to think that the network interface hardware has had it. I dont think the be550 supports USB printing, correct me if I am wrong.

BE550 doesn't support USB printing. This printer model is form 2009 - which drivers did you install from the Xerox support website ?
It may be a better idea to let Winrows 11 recognise the drivers automatically (delete the installed drivers before trying that).
Or try the link from the first post - https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/how-do-i-use-my-xerox-phaser-6250-in-windows-11/d78cc4d0-0458-4468-b59e-8160a8065eda

@terziyski I will try letting windows find a driver and the liink. I will also try other methods of printing but I still think the printer is end of life.
I have deleted the printer and installed the Global Xerox PCL6 driver using the TCP/IP address of the 6125n. I even tried an FTP connection but both fail, although the FTP does get through and cause an error on the printer.
