Deco X50 DSL firmware

I have purchased a Deco X50-DSL and connected it to the Deco X50 satellites. I would like to ask when the firmware update will be available to make the ECO mode, IoT network functions available on the Deco X50 DSL. When I set Deco X50 as the main unit, these advanced features are available there, but the network loses the Internet connection from the Deco X50-DSL.

Hi
Sorry that we don't get advanced notice of whether there will be new updates being released or when a feature update will be available for Deco X50-DSL. The way we do firmware is that we only release a new version when there is a bug/flaw/vulnerability to patch or a new feature to add, but since I am not in software development, I cannot provide a definite answer. We recommend keeping an eye on our official website for any new firmware updates if there would be any.

I have the same problem. I have added a X50-DSL to an existing mesh of X50s which has resulted to a downgrade of the overall experience as the X50-DSL needs to be the main Deco while it lacks the support for these features. The funny thing is I still have the IoT network operating but I can not configure it at this point through the Deco app. The X50s are apparently still getting regular updates (https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/710398) but these are not visible once you also have a X50-DSL in the mesh.

I am also complaining about this issue. Last week I bought 1 X50 and 1 X50-dsl and changed the entire wifi system in my house to deco. However, since the features of the X50-dsl model are lower than the X50 (ECO mode etc.), I am not happy at all.
I hope tp-link takes these complaints into consideration.

I couldn't wait any longer, so I finally wrote a Python script that can reboot the Deco X50-DSL with another units at a specified time. The script runs on a Raspberry Pi, making it a seamless and automated solution.

Add me to the list of users that are complaining about the lack of firmware updates for the X50 DSL. Having one of those in my mesh network based on Deco X50s is seriously degrading both the network performances and the features available to me via the app. Can you please talk to Development and figure out what the plans are for updating the X50 DSL?
Thank you.

I have used multiple M5 access point for quite a while and the auto-reboot worked very smoothly. Now I've moved and needed a DSL modem, the X50-DSL has been extremely lacking in firmware and holds back my entire home, especially with a lack of DoH and removing features from the M5. A really regretful purchase.

I have this issue too, what a waste of a mesh unit when it downgrades other two X50s to basic units with less features. I've slowly been upgrading my mesh and now think TP link was the wrong solution. Why call them all X50 but take features away and not listen to consumers when all that's needed is a firmware update.

I also paid for the parental extras and now feel it's a waste of time not being able to have the wifi on a schedule, I can't add all the childrens friends to the "family" not choose for their devices to not have random Mac addresses when it's not my decision to make, also only have a block mode and not allow mode now with an x50 DSL, so that's useless when the Mac address can change.
Wanted the x50 outdoor too but that will downgrade the system too not allowing for eco mode even if I stop using the x50 DSL.
If the x50 DSL is an access point why does it stop the whole mesh system having the better features??
