I have a mobile phone that I used for USB tethering, but when I plugged it in, it only had a speed of 2-5mbps. However, when I use a VPN on my PC like Cloudflare, it reaches 150-200mbps. What should I do to configure it to have that speed even without using a VPN? What should I configure for this?

Too many variables in this situation.
1. Is your tethering cable okay for the speed?
2. Is there a RJ45 chipset in the tethering?
3. Port on the phone is enough for the speed? USB gen?
4. Degradation in the transmission?
You should consider all the facts.
5. When you use the VPN, is this VPN tunnel established on the USB modem WAN? Or your regular RJ45 WAN?
I would recommend you use the USB modem on the router instead of doing this tethering which is not something we recommend or the product was designed for. It was dedicated for the USB modem not for the tethering with the cables.
