Can't enable external antenna

Hi everyone I'm new here. My name is Luca.
I bought a Deco x3000 5G and did all the configuration.
Everything works fine but I cannot enable the external antenna from the app.
I tried several times restarting the router, closing the app, using both 2.4 and 5 WiFi, reconnecting to the router, with external antennas connected and disconnected.
I can't enable the option of external antennas from the app.
Any idea?
Thank you🤗

Hi,
Do you mean you cannot find the External Antennas option or you cannot save the settings?
Please use different devices to test as well.
What is the operation mode of your Deco?

Hi @Sunshine, I have encountered the same problem. I installed the external antenna to either the first or the second port of the router but couldn't see the "External Antennas" option from the Deco app.
Here are the details of my setup:
Router: Deco X50 5G
Firmware Version: 1.1.5 Build 20240419 Rel. 73943
Phone: Google Pixel 6 Pro(running Android 14)
Deco App Version(Android): 3.7.83
Please show me how to make the "External Antennas" option visible on the Deco app, thank you.

@Sunshine I have same problem. Then selection of external antenna is gray and cannot be changed (=selected).
Operation mode is 5G router.
i also logged directly to X50 with IP address. I dont see any external antenna selection possibility there at all...
Downloaded and installed latest firmware y'day. Everything booted many times...

I also have this issue and experiencing network drops as a result.
Model: X50-5G
Firmware: 1.2.0 Build 20241011 Rel. 32926
Operation Mode: 4G/5G Router
It is bridged to an X20-4G on firmware 1.1.15 Build 20231227 Rel. 68321 this is connected via 2.4Ghz band to the X50
In the Deco app (which on my Nothing Phone 2a) is auto-updating to latest version, nothing in Internet section is enabled/usable.
App can no longer reboot or check for updates either.
Everything was OK before the last X50 firmware update I received (1.2.0 Build 20241011 Rel. 32926).

Currently, no support solution or status update has been given by TP-Link for the issue this thread pertains to.
It was started in July 2024 and it's now December 2024.
Can you at least confirm TP-Link support are looking in to this specific issue, or if nothing been done thus far? (Your answer or lack of makes a representation of the quality of TP-Link support and informs whether users above and myself should be considering replacing Deco devices with a different vendor who can support their customer base)

@Mixuhoo we have the same exact issue. Did you find a solution? I have messaged directly to Tp-Link people but haven't received an answer.
Any luck with you?

From what I can fathom, the solution is more to do with a background system services on your phone being disabled. At least is was for me, but I've forgotten exactly which one.
The Deco App appears to make use of some additional services on the phone.
Personally, I may ditch TP-Link hardware pending the outcome of the national security investigation.
