Hi,

I am using TP-LINK Archer C50 AC1200 Dual band wifi router.
Based on the model specification it says 5g can transfer up to 867MBps but for me i am getting only 100 mbps

i am using ACT network with 200Mbps plan. i called the technical  in ACT for the issue. he say this modem having maximum ability to transfer 100 mbps.
is this true ?


Kindly support me to know the reason.

Yes, that's true. Check the Archer C50 ethernet ports tech specs here.

Nevertheless its wireless radio (5G) supports speed up to 867 mbps, the bottleneck is its Internet (WAN) port.

To utilize the full bandwidth of your ISP service (if your ISP offers more than 100 mbps) you need a gigabit router like Archer C64.

I am in the same situation - I have a gigabit connection but I realised that wan is limited to 100 Mbps. As such, is it possible to exchange it with suitable better models like archer C6, C64, etc, and pay the difference amount?

Only your retailer can answer this question, as well as a possible return window for the item and buying a new one.

  @terziyski Thanks for your valuable feedback, how stupid i am without knowing all this and just by reading cover buying the product.
