ER706W V1 Firmware UN or US
Hello,
I have a Question regarding the Firmwares i should use for this model, I bought it on Amazon and im located in the US, I notice this Router doesn't have the region on the box next to the hardware version nor on the controller information
Which firmware should I use to update it, i want to try a Beta firmware, but i saw the firmware available is UN(Universal) 1.1 and another one US 1.1.3, but idk which one to use.
Thanks!

Hello @Clive_A here is the version of my controller:
No new version is available, but i wanted to try the beta ones.
So your recommendation is that i install US 1.0.4, and then try US beta firmware if I like?
Another question, not having region on the hardware versioning label, what does it means?
Are you able to access it in standalone mode? That should display you with the version if it is not adopted. Adopted, and it does not display, it does not give that information.
My assumption is that this model was not available in the US at first. Later on, this model was shipped and sold in the US. Do you purchase it from the amazon.com or a third-party retailer?
Could be a UN model accidentally sold by a third-party vendor?
Amazon.com should sell all the US versions as our US team takes care of the official Amazon store and stocks. Start with the US version and gradually upgrade the firmware.

@Clive_A Upon verifying, It was sold by a third party and fulfilled by Amazon, so it probably is like you mentioned a UN versioned sold here, as I'm new to TP Link Omada, on this particular device how does it affects to have a possible UN unit vs US one?
I did install US 1.0.4 and everything is working so far.
Additionally when I downloaded the US Version from the device support website, it downloads the zip as US Versioned but the actual firmware file reads UN.
Different regulations on radio frequency.
Please proceed the US if you are in the US. If you are in EU or other regions, refer to the firmware from your local official website.

Hi @Kramos
Thanks for posting in our business forum.
Does the Controller show a new version available?
What would be your controller version?
I recommend you stick with the US version first and see if you can upgrade to the latest one.
