Model: ER605 (TL-R605)
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 2.2.6

I have an ER605 connected to two WANs. Each of two LAN ports is connected to an SG2008p switch.

It's all working, however I can't get one of the LAN ports to be 1G. The two WAN ports and one of the LAN ports all autoconfigured themselves to be 1000mbps, but one of the LAN ports - the uplink to the ER605 -- remains stubbornly at 10/100mbps.

I've tried configuring that port on the ER605 manually (instead of auto). The configuration screen says it's 1000 but the port indicator remains orange (for 10/100) and the map agrees that port is only at 100FDX. I don't see any way to configure the port on the switch itself, but I may be missing something.

I'm new to tp-link networking gear and omada, so I suspect I'm doing someting wrong, but haven't been able to figure it out. Anybody have a succestion?

  @lionelgi

All 8 cores are required to give a 1000Mb connection, if one has a bad connection or break then it will often successfully negotiate down to 100Mb and work.

Hi @lionelgi

Thanks for posting in our business forum.

It is very likely to be a cable issue. Try to swap with a different cable.

  @lionelgi

Have you tested the cable used for that connection ? or tried a different cable ?

  @MisterW I'm embarassed to say that no, I hadn't tried another cable on that port. At your suggestion I did. And now it works fine. I'm not usually that clueless, but from time to time....

Anyway, thanks for you help.
