Model: Archer AX12   Deco S7
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I'm trying to pick between the TP-Link Archer AX12 and the TP-Link Deco S7. I've got a pretty standard 1600 square foot apartment with 4 rooms. Both routers are priced similarly, and I only need one to cover my whole place.

I'm not sure which one would be better for my setup. I've got 3-4 phones, a smart TV, 2 computers, and a few smaller smart devices like bulbs and Alexa.

Any advice on which one would give me better coverage and speed? Thanks!

  @AdnanM

in your case it might be worth considering purchasing two Deco S7 modules to connect them into a deco mesh

or buying two archer ax10 models to connect them into an easy mesh

so that there is a good signal level at 5 GHz everywhere

Archer routers have much more flexible and advanced firmware. So in this case it is better to choose Archer

however, I would personally recommend taking the archer ax10, it has better hardware and supports easy mesh over ethernet in case of expanding wifi with a second similar device

My home's walls are made of brick and mortar. I'm looking for a router that can effectively penetrate these walls to minimize dead zones.
