Hey,

I have an "old" router with only Wi-Fi 4. I was planning to use it as a bridge to plug on a better router (Archer AX55) and add a Deco P9 for a nice covering in the house.

I just received my Deco P9 and installed it, I saw it was using a separate it's own Wi-Fi that must be different from the router one.

I was wondering, is there any value to have a new router with better Wi-Fi (bridge with my old router as it is a co-axial wiring for internet) when using the Deco P9 ?

Thank you

Hi, thanks for posting question here.

As only Decos can set up Deco mesh network with each other, it is more recommended to choose another Deco to work with your P9 for a mesh network.
