Region : Australia

Model : Archer C7

Hardware Version : Not Clear

Firmware Version : 3.13.33 Build 130729 Rel.56122n

ISP : Optus Cable Broadband

I have owned the Archer C7 for a couple of months now, since updating the the latest firmware I have been unable to connect to the 5ghz band of the router. I have several devices capable of connecting on this spectrum however none of them see the SSID being broadcast. I have done several factory resets and reconfigures in attempts to restore this functionality however nothing has succeeded.

After you upgraded the firmware, is the 5G wifi light still on ? You can log into the TP-LINK setup page and then change the channel and make sure the 5G is enabled .

http://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/?model=TL-WA850RE&version=V1#tbl_j

On their website, it says you can modify the repeated SSID , on the newer firmware.
