Firmware Version : 3.13.11 Build 120905
ISP : BT
Hello all,
I am having trouble gettiing a TL-WR1043ND to connect to a DrayTek Vigor 2820as and work as a Wifi Repeater.
I have setup as follows;
DrayTek connected to internet and broadcasting SSID: Wifi1 this I can connect to with laptop fine and surf the web. Then on the WR1043 setup SSID: Wifi2 and under
WDS Bridging, I click Survey which finds Wifi1 and connects, setup security etc for both and now can see Wifi2 on laptop and initially it connects fine, can browse web.
But then after a few mins I try to connect and although I can still see Wifi2 I get 'Connection Unsuccessful'. Also on the WR1043 the sys light is flashing on off slowly.
I have disabled DHCP on the WR1043ND.
Please could someone with experience of this setup show me what I am obviously doing wrong.
Thanks in advance
Jimlad

Hi Guys,
Sorry it has been a while since I last posted, I have been on hols.
I have come to the conclusion there is a fault with the WR not holding the connection and so have conceded defeat and purchased a wireless repeater, plugged it in and set it up and has been working now for the last week with no drops.
Thanks to you both for all the help, our discussions have provided me with much additional knowledge if nothing else.
Kind regards
Jimlad
