Region : Argentina

Model : TL-WA901ND

Hardware Version : V3

Firmware Version :

ISP :

We have a BT "superhub 3" router with an adsl connection, connected to this is a Linksys AP which works fine

i have also purchased a Linksys TL-WA5210G external access point, the configurations i have done so far is

under basic settings > quick setup -

AP
SSIS - matches that of the router
Channel - as above
Mode - 54Mbps

Wireless menu - Access Point (with enable SSID broadcast ticked)

Security - matches that of the wifi security of router (WEP - doesnt need to be secure)

from my phone i can detect the AP an try to connect, this fails on obtaining an IP.

DHCP is disabled on the AP, but enabled on the router

anyone?

no TL product has Wireless Zero-Handoff or Roaming configuration, so dont waist your time trying to create one network, what you want is the most basic configuration AP mode.at the moment dont
match any, and channel has to be different from your other devices.
1-reset to default your 5210 http://www.tp-link.com/en/article/?faqid=202
2- http://www.tp-link.com/en/article/?faqid=378
set WPA security any you like
Channel Width: use 20 mhz
DHCP is disabled on the AP, but enabled on the router

dont set any that its not on tuto, that why my first advice reset your 5210

Hi mudcow007,

Try this :

under basic settings > quick setup -

AP
SSIS - different from the router, test1234 for example
Channel - different from the router
Mode - 54Mbps

Wireless menu - Access Point (with enable SSID broadcast ticked)

Security - any type you like~~either wep or wpa should work.

DHCP is disabled on the AP, but enabled on the router

AP's LAN IP should different from your router

Then check it out.

PS: Your original configuration is for roaming. However, 5210G works in 802.11g and I guess your router works in 802.11n. There may be some Compatibility Issues in it.
