Hi @Charles_Andre,

I’ve also experienced similar high CPU usage issues on the Deco X50. In my case, it happened when multiple devices were heavily utilizing bandwidth at the same time. One workaround that helped me was disabling some background services and checking for QoS (Quality of Service) settings, though this may vary depending on your setup.

If you’re troubleshooting, sometimes identifying whether the bottleneck comes from the router or connected devices can be useful. I personally used this  to analyze device performance and narrow down potential causes.

Hope this helps!

@David-TP Please stop adding features to the equipment if it doesn't support. My Deco X50 also has 100% CPU consumption, it's really frustrating to see that this problem is persistent since 2024 and instead of resolving it, TP-Link keeps adding useless, paid features that no one requested and the equipment doesn't do what we paid it for. If I connect to the ISP router, I can get full speed on 5GHz. If I run the same test using Deco I get a third of the speed.

Hello, I’m from Taiwan.
My Deco X50 is experiencing the same issue. Both Fast Roaming and Beamforming have already been disabled, yet I noticed that the main Deco’s CPU usage often stays at 100% for a long time. When this happens, the internet on my computer starts disconnecting, becoming intermittent, or showing unstable connections.

To address this, I even placed a cooling pad under the main Deco, but it didn’t help. The connection only starts to stabilize gradually after the CPU usage drops, but this issue happens every single day, which is really frustrating.

I have three Deco X50 units, and I’ve tried swapping each of them around, but the problem remains exactly the same. It turns out this issue isn’t just happening in Taiwan — users around the world are experiencing it too. Even after multiple firmware updates, there’s still no improvement. If this continues, I’ll have to switch to another brand.
