Huge percentage Tx Dropped Packages leads to connection loss of connected devices

I experience on a regular basis that 1 of my 3 access points suddenly drops a large number of packets leaving the connected devices without connectivity. After a reboot, the problem is solved again for a while.
Anyone have an idea where I should start looking? I've already tried several things. For instance, I connected the AP to the power adapter instead of via POE. I've done WLAN optimisation several times..

PS: Via the Related Articles, I noticed that i'm not the first one with this problem.. but unfortunately I cannot find a conclusive solution anywhere.

Hi @test6545fg
If there is no special configuration, this is mostly a hardware issue, either the Ethernet cable or the switch port, or the EAP unit itself.
You may focus on troubleshooting on these, such as swapping the cable/ports with other working cables/ports,
If the issue always comes with this EAP unit, you may contact your retailer.

Just for the info. I replaced the access point with a new one and the problem seems to be solved. So it will indeed have been a hardwired problem. Thanks for the tips ;-)

Hi @test6545fg
The EAP doesn't have stable connectivity. Since you have checked the power supply, you may also change the Ethernet cable connecting to the EAP.
How often will the issue happen?
When the issue happened, will the wireless clients disconnect from the wifi (wifi icon disappeared), or they are still connected but showing No Internet?
Please also check the firmware of the EAP and update it to the latest.

Thanks for the feedback and reply. The fact that you tell that the EAP is not stable I don't like to hear.... So are there other APs managed through Omada that are stable?
- I'll indeed change the LAN cable as well to make sure that isn't the problem.
- Normally I have the latest FW for the EAP650: 1.1.0 Build 20240830 Rel. 50826
- I feel it happens pretty much all 4 or 5 days
- The connected devices are all IOT devices, so I cannot access the icon. I would have to test with a smartphone or laptop. However, they do not jump to another AP that does still connect. It does have some devices connected with a weak connection....
