Model: TL-SG108S
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

I use ethernet cables as I do not want wifi in my house. I have disabled the wifi on my BT modem but it still gives out quite a high EMF reading on my EMF meter. I've been told I can replace the BT modem with a TP-Link, just plugging the TP-Link directly into the phone line and running the ethernet cables from it. Will that work or does it need to be attached to the BT modem?

Hi @ehatherley

Thanks for posting in our business forum.
Be advised, this is not a modem. It is an unmanaged switch.

What you are trying to replace is a wireless, modem router. I don't think a switch can supersede the modem router.
